In my first book, “This Road Must Go Somewhere”, I tried to move forward by actively, physically moving forward. Rather than mentally rebuilding, I was forcing myself to rebuild on new foundation with each trip I took.
While I learned so much in each of these trips, and while I would never take this experience back, I now find myself looking into the shadowy thoughts I had last year, grateful that I can look back on these times with different lighting. With a much more stable base, I am now able to acknowledge this time in my life while still moving forward with intent.
