As soon as I got off the phone with Julie from NAMI Indianapolis, she was already making
Even more impressive–I learned that Julie is literally the only person employed by NAMI Indianapolis, and she still stopped by to hang out for my entire signing on a Saturday. It’s clear as a ZBLAN, which according to my quick Google search before writing this is the clearest substance known to man, that she is passionate about making sure her programs are impactful, fruitful, and well executed. Though she’s technically part-time, she still works her butt off to make sure everything NAMI Indianapolis does is meaningful, authentic, and truly helping those who need their services, no BS.
One of my favorite parts of this tour is learning people’s stories as I open about mine. Talking with Julie was a great reminder on how important it is to be open and honest about my own story. She is a truly open, honest, warm, giving person. Indianapolis is lucky to have her as the head of their chapter.
